GCSE
Year 11 pupils at Campion school have performed very well and the vast majority will now go on to further studies in the school’s sixth form.
Jassa Panesar, Headteacher, commented, “The last two years have not been easy to say the least. Our Year 11 pupils have worked hard and consistently all year and fully deserve these results. However, this has been a huge team effort, in demanding circumstances, and I would like to congratulate our families and staff, who have stepped up during the pandemic to keep the school open, develop online learning and support our post-pandemic tuition. It has been an incredibly hard time for our Y11 pupils and I am very proud of the way they have responded to the challenges they have faced during the pandemic.”
Peter Forsey, Deputy Headteacher, who is responsible for pupil achievement at the school commented:
“I am very proud of the hard work and attitude of our students during the last three years of their GCSE courses and at how they have reacted to the many challenges they faced. This year group has produced some of the highest results we have seen at Campion and their grades are well deserved. They should be very proud of their successes and I know they will go on to even greater achievements in years to come”

A-Level
Despite the challenges posed by lockdowns and the pandemic, pupils at Campion School have continued to achieve highly and have, again, secured places at top universities and on competitive apprenticeship programmes. The school has achieved a 100% pass rate in A levels, with almost a third of pupils achieving grades A* or A, and 85% achieving grades A* to C. Pupils studying BTEC qualifications have achieved equally high with a 100% pass rate, half of pupils achieving Distinction* or Distinction grades. The results continue to enhance the school’s growing reputation for academic excellence.
‘The pandemic lockdowns severely disrupted the education of this group of pupils, but despite these setbacks their achievements have been incredible. I have been particularly impressed with the students’ resilience and ‘can do’ attitude – even when their education and wellbeing was being tested. We must remember that this group of pupils had their Year 11 cut short by the first lockdown and then their Year 12 (first year of A levels) was disrupted by the second lock down. These results are even more remarkable when we take these challenges into account.
Campion students thoroughly deserve these excellent results and we wish them the best for their future. I would like to thank all of the parents, carers and teachers of pupils in Year 13 for their support, hard work and belief in the students. The school certainly does benefit from a very strong community spirit and we would not have been able to support our pupils without the tenacity and resilience of our families through these tough times. Thankyou’
Jassa Panesar, Headteacher
“I would like to commend our Year 13 students on persevering through a gruelling examination season – their final results are excellent, and reflect the commitment they have made to working hard over the past two years. Whilst our students’ sixth form experience has been unusual, I have been inspired by their unrelenting determination to make the most of the circumstances they have found themselves in; they have shown strength and character throughout, representing the very best of our school community. We extend our deepest congratulations to each student and their family, and wish them the greatest success in their futures.”
Mandeep Sandhu, Assistant Headteacher
