The KS4 Mathematics program is designed to enhance numeracy skills and refine problem-solving techniques in preparation for final exams and future studies. Students are placed on either a Higher or Foundation pathway each year, with regular assessments, homework, and constructive feedback used to monitor their progress.

In Year 11, the emphasis shifts to exam preparation, incorporating frequent mock exams that inform targeted interventions and support strategies. At the end of Year 11, students will complete three exams: a Non-Calculator Paper (Paper 1) and two Calculator Papers (Papers 2 and 3), each lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes. Each exam is worth 80 marks, collectively constituting 100% of their final grade.

To facilitate further study and revision, all students receive a textbook specifically tailored to their tier. Additionally, the department offers comprehensive support, providing opportunities for one-on-one assistance during breaks, lunch, or after school. This ensures that all students have the resources and guidance needed to excel in their mathematics education.
