Help with Homework
All pupils are expected to complete homework as set out in the school’s homework policy.
Some pupils find homework more of a challenge and we have put in place some support to help pupils complete their homework.
Homework support in the library
The library is open at break time, lunchtime and after school until 5pm every day for pupils to have access to computers and resources to help them complete their homework. The librarians are available to help children find the resources they need. The librarians will be able to help pupils more directly with their homework after school and during less busy times during the day.
Homework support in Access (SEND)
Our Access (SEND) department is open after school until 4pm to help pupils with their homework. Teaching assistants supervise, check homework and can provide some support to pupils if needed.
Subject Based Homework Support
Most subjects at the school offer after school homework clinics to support pupils that need help to complete their homework or who have an area of difficulty they need individual help with.
Subject teams publish the lunchtimes and after school sessions that they run for pupils on the noticeboards in their departments.
