Campion's Got Talent

Campion's Got Talent

At the end of every school year we hold our annual show, Campion's Got Talent. This year we would still like to try and go ahead with an interactive version.

In order to take part you need to record a video of your entry and either email to us at or send it through a DM on Twitter to @campionschool

Most entries are usually singing, in which case you can sing to a backing track, but the track must be a Karaoke version with no major vocals. They can have backing vocals, which means they are not the main artist singing, the singers are in the background. It may help to check with Mr. Rossiter that the song is suitable for school - no swearing or inappropriate content. We are much less toelrant than radio!

Other acts have included playing instruments, dances, magic, mimes and ventriloquists. There is no limit to what type of act you can enter as long as you are happy with the content after you have filmed it.

Whatever your act your clothing must be appropriate and suitable for a school production. The same rules apply as they would have done if you performed on stage at school.

You cannot breach social distancing but you could collaborate with one or more other students on Zoom or Teams to create your entry.

The clips will be shown to our panel of judges who will comment and give their scores.

We will upload the clips so students can vote on their favourite act. In order to cast your vote you must be able to access the school VLE. You will find it on Quick Links on our website. Use the same username and password as you would to get on to a school computer.

  • Please let us know if you intend entering by Monday 22 June.
  • The deadline for submitting final entries is Friday 26 June.
  • The show will be online from Monday 13 July.
  • You will be able to vote for your favourite until the close of school on Wednesday 15 July.
  • The winner of the vote will be announced on Thursday 14 July.

The prizes for the judges votes are: 1st £50, 2nd £30, 3rd £20. Pupil vote winner £50.

If you are using a backing track then use a standard track and not EP.

If you are not using a backing track your act should be between 2 and 4 mins. Keep them brief and to the point.

We will need around 8 entries to make this worthwhile and to make the prizes value for money. If we get less than 8 entries we will decide what the next step will be.

Once entries have been received staff will decide which will go through to the final show.

It would help if you contacted Mr. Rossiter to discuss your song choice or act before going ahead with it, to make sure we think it will be suitable. Email him at
