Spring Term Mock Exams for Year 10*:

Literature Paper 1 Mock – June 2017 Paper: R&J- Explore how Shakespeare presents aggressive male behaviour in Romeo and Juliet. J&H- ‘Stevenson’s presentation of Dr Jekyll allows the reader to feel sympathy for him.’ Explore how far you agree with this opinion? – w/c 13th January

Literature Paper 2 Mock – June 2017 Paper: AIC- How far does Priestley present Mrs Birling as an unlikeable character? / How does Priestley use the character of the Inspector to suggest ways that society could be improved? Poetry- Compare how poets present the effects of war in Bayonet Charge and one other poem from your anthology. Unseen- In ‘Autumn’ how does the poet presents the effects of the season of autumn? Unseen- What are the similarities and/or differences between the ways the poets present these attitudes? – w/c 13th January

N.B. Throughout the year, a variety of mock exams, boosters and revision sessions will take place. Pupils should follow the guidance of their English teachers. Pupils will always be advised to record key dates in planners, so please do check/discuss with your son/daughter. If in any doubt, please do not hesitate to contact your son/daughter’s English teacher.
