Community Kindess
Community collaboration provides a wonderful gift for pupils
Campion School is, once again, thankful to its wonderful local community for their support and generosity. Croft Medical Centre, Sydenham, joined forces with the charity, Evelyn’s Gift, and generously donated enough funds to purchase tablets for several Campion pupils. Even though schools have re-opened their buildings, the tablets will continue to provide fantastic support at home as pupils start to catch up on the work and learning they have missed during the lockdowns.
Evelyn’s Gift was formed in 2014 in memory of Evelyn Mary Smith who passed away, suddenly, in September 2013 when she was only seven years old. The aims of the charity are twofold: to provide little acts of kindness to people in need, and, to train as many people as possible in CPR and life-support skills.
Headteacher, Mr Panesar, and Pastoral Manager, Angela Burden, were over the moon and said that they were, "...really touched by the generosity and act of kindness to our pupils."
