Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity on 25 May 1963. In their assemblies this week the children will be hearing the traditional folk Tale 'The Ape, the Snake and the Lion' from Botswana. This is a tale about learning to trust others. They will be listening to 'Chineke' music from an African composer called Florence B Price.
