We have arranged a residential to madrid in July. This trip is open to all pupils in years 7 to 10, but the priority will be for pupils studying Spanish for GCSE and pupils who have not been on a previous residential. Please note that for this trip we are staying in dormitories in a hostel. This means that the number of places available for girls and boys will change as we start to fill rooms. The dormitories also mean that there is not the opportunity to choose who you are sharing with.
The trip will take plave from Thursday 13 July to Sunday 16 July 2017 and the cost of the trip is £365. Places can only be accepted when accompanied by the deposit of £100. Please make sure you have read and signed the terms and conditions as once you pay the deposit you are commiting yourself to pay the whole of the trip - even if you later decide to withdraw your child from the residential.
We will be flying with Monarch Airlines from Birmingham Airport. The flight is at 3pm and we will meet at Campion at 11 am and depart by 11.30 am. The return flight will get us back to Birmingham Airport at 8.40 pm and would expect to be back at Campion around 10.15 pm.
To keep the cost of the trip as low as possible pupils will need to take a case suitable for taking into the cabin and not in the hold.
This is the hostel where we hope to stay
During the residential we are hoping to visit the following tourist attractions:
Friday 14 July - Warner Brothers Theme Park
Saturday 15 July - Real Madrid Bernabeu Stadium Tour
Sunday 16 July - City Tour
Sunday 25 June - Teleferico Cable Cars
Your child will need a valid passport or European Identity Card and a current EHIC card.
You can download the Terms and Conditions form and the Permission letter below.
I will attach them when I get to work on Monday.
